What is Functional Medicine For Fertility?
Functional medicine is a holistic approach to addressing fertility issues. Rather than simply treating a symptom, functional medicine focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of the fertility problems. This often is an underlying health condition that must first be treated before the body is ready to conceive.
At Road to Fertility, we utilize a functional perspective by taking into account you as a whole person (rather than just a symptom) to help you achieve optimal reproductive health.

While the specifics of each program are tailored to each patient, we follow a 4-step framework: discover, remove, replace, and regulate.

Discover
During a very specific diagnostic process, we are looking for sources of deregulation, inflammatory markers, and other reasons you are having difficulty conceiving or carrying.
Step 2
Remove
Once we have identified the source of your problems, we will remove whatever toxins are preventing you from raching optimal health.
Step 3
Replace
To address any gaps in your health, we can supplement with nutrition, minerals, herbs, and other therapies.
Step 4
Regulate
Following consistent treatment, we are able to regulate your hormones and balance the body, ultimately intreosing your chances of conceiving and of a healthy pregnancy.

What To Expect with Our Concierge Medicine
During Your Initial Consultation
During your initial consultation, Dr. Yuabova will listen to your concerns, conduct a medical history, and perform a whole-body energy scan with your consent.
Dr. Yuabova’s goal is to find and address the root cause of the problem. She uses innovative functional medicine testing and diagnostic methods, and can customize a fertility treatment plan based on your body’s specific needs.
As mentioned, any time a person has difficulty becoming pregnant, it is a symptom of an underlying issue. This is why it’s crucial to find and address the underlying issue, which can then potentially enable you to become pregnant.
Treatment is different for every person and specific to your particular findings.
During Your Follow-Up Appointments
Your treatment plan will be unique to you and will include a variety of approaches, including nutritional therapy (oral or IV), neural therapy, herbs, minerals, peptides, coaching and education, and more. Ongoing support is also provided to ensure you’re implementing the treatment plan correctly. Dr. Yuabova and her team will check in with you every 2 to 4 weeks.
Most functional reproductive medicine treatment programs last anywhere from 4 to 6 months but can be longer depending on your specific situation and needs.
Do Appointments Have to Be In Person?
Our patients have the option of choosing between telehealth appointments or in-person appointments at our Boca Raton, FL location. This includes both the initial consultation and any follow-up appointments. When blood work is needed, we’ll send you to a nearby functional lab that can conduct the bloodwork.

How does functional medicine approach fertility differently from traditional medicine?
